Henkels & McCoy, Inc. is currently seeking a Tool Manager in Salem, IL.



This position is responsible for Tool Warehouse Management tasks and scheduling, Rubber Goods and protective equipment, Tool Retirement and servicing/calibration.  Direct supervision of inventory and tool watch.


Major Job Elements

  • Direct supervision of Tool Warehouse and Tool Admin.
  • Work with upper management to support dollar approvals.
  • Inventory verification.
  • Manage and create reports as directed.
  • Responsible for Tool Warehouse management, Tool Retirement, Rubber goods and scheduling and calibration.
  • Receives and places tool order requests.
  • Determines when tools need to be ordered.
  • Ensure all training and certification requirements are current.
  • Manage employees to meet and exceed daily performance objectives in receiving, stocking, picking, packing and shipping.
  • Develop, manage and train employees on systems, procedures, equipment and company policies. 
  • Assist in planning objectives of systems and operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean operation.
  • Enforcing Company policies and practices.
  • Monitoring ongoing general housekeeping of tools; recommending and implementing new practices as necessary.
  • Monitoring tools and equipment structure level.
  • Keep management informed of equipment problems and or shortages.
  • Maintain safe work environment.


  • Minimum High School or equivalent required.
  • Prefer some college education or other advanced schooling degree (not required). 
  • Communicate effectively to upper management required.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Support and manage team effectively.
  • Intermediate PC Skills (Excel & Word).
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • 3 years direct experience in tool equipment experience, required prefer utility experience with tools.
  • The candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs, necessary and be on your feet all day.  This is NOT a desk job.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.  
  • (1+) years of demonstrated effective supervisory experience.
  • 25% overnight travel.
