H&M is currently seeking Material Handlers for its Telecom program in Detroit, Michigan.

 

The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving and managing materials as well as stock and field supplies.  Warehouse personnel will work in a team environment and provide assistance to the Warehouse Tech, Logistics Manager and Office Administration.

  • Responsible for accurate material and/or tool assignment and inventory returns.
  • Responsible for the yard/warehouse maintenance.
  • Responsible for receiving and managing materials.
  • Assists with equipment tracking/maintenance
  • Provides assistance to the Warehouse Technician, Logistics Manager and Office Administration and Supervision

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be capable to operate/drive all warehouse equipment
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment including receiving, ordering and tracking materials
  • Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must possess Class A CDL.
  • Exhibits skills and attitude which accommodates Company policies, principles and processes
  • Capable to follow directions and work independently or part of a team for assignments
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs required
  • Must have basic small tool repair skills/identifying correct operations
  • Must be capable to spend the day doing various physical activities including walking up/down stairs; standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work overtime on short notice (daily and/or weekends) to meet the demands of the job
  • Valid driver’s license with a 36 month clean driving record
  • Strong command of the English language (reading, writing, speaking) for effective communication with warehouse technician, craft workers, management, and teammates.
