The Warehouse Manager reports to the  Construction Manager and is responsible for the overall coordination of the project, construction tools, materials and equipment. This includes inventory control, logistical coordination materials to employees and subcontractors, and ensuring maximum utilization and maintenance to company equipment. The Warehouse Manager must establish strong working relationships with the Tool department, as well as Operations management. 

Major Job Elements


  • Facilitate tool and equipment needs including coordination with outside rental sources.
  • Coordinate and direct tool / truck mobilization and demobilization.
  • Track location of tools and equipment in the field from all areas.
  • Make “one on one” contact with field personnel.
  • Directly manage and coordinate stringing equipment and other “specialty” equipment to ensure maximum utilization.
  • Coordinate with Region Fleet for equipment repairs, whether on-site, in-shop or with outside vendors.
  • Coordinate with Region Fleet to ensure field mechanics are dispatched, scheduled and tracked effectively.
  • Coordinate with Corporate / Region Fleet to maintain compliance with all PM initiatives including aerial equipment inspection.
  • Participate in weekly WRPO staff meetings to ensure effective coordination of tool and fleet issues.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable system for inspection, acceptance and return of rentals.
  • Review condition of tools and equipment.  Recommend replacement or purchase of tools or equipment on extended rental terms.
  • Assist Operations through training programs to ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures, specifically Corporate and Region Fleet requirements.
  • Assist Area Managers and Region Staff with IFTA and DOT driver compliance, reporting and record keeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education / Work Experience-    Minimum five years experience managing logistics or large commercial fleet, preferably a rental or construction fleet.


General Skills-  Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills required.  Comprehensive working knowledge of DOT regulations and guidelines.  Ability to travel frequently up to 25%.  Good decision making skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. 


Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, credist history check and motor vehicle driving history check.
