This position supervises the Regional Contracts Manager, Subcontracts Specialist, Regional Claims Manager, and Business Insurance Specialist (currently four positions).
Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, the Regional Counsel will provide legal advice and be the interface between H&M East Region’s Business/Operations/Project team and the Corporate Legal Department of H&M Shared Services, Inc. as to particular projects and legal matters. This position includes providing legal support, investigation, analyses, followed by recommendations to the Associate General Counsel and VP/General Counsel and the Regional Vice President (“RVP”) and Operations Vice President (“OVP”) on various legal, claims, business insurance and compliance matters that occur throughout H&M’s East Region. This position involves extensive contracts management negotiations responsibilities; as well as collaboration with the RVP/OVP and Associate General Counsel in making recommendations for compliance with the Company’s risk policies. This position also requires support of strategic execution and alignment of activities requiring legal advice across the East Region’s lines of business.

Education and Experience:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Experience and knowledge in risk management and evaluation.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with quick response time. Professional demeanor and team player with high degree of confidentiality required
Utility Infrastructure (UI) or construction industry work experience is preferred.
Number of Years of Experience: at least 7 years in related legal position
Some travel is required; less than 25%
