The Account Manager will be responsible for an existing customer base as well as new accounts with a focus on Broadband opportunities and Telephone Companies within H&M’s East Region geography (PA, VA, MD). The successful applicant will focus on acquiring additional revenue streams from existing clientele as well as bringing on new customers who can benefit from our product offerings. As Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and increasing annual revenue while assuring a high level of customer satisfaction

Major Job Elements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build sales funnel focusing on Broadband programs and Telephone Companies
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by understanding customer missions, priorities and H&M’s role in successful attainment.
  • Interact with H&M customers for status updates and understanding of requests.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications, OSP cabling, and ISP structured cabling and networks.
  • Ability to anticipate customers’ needs and match them with appropriate products and services
  • Increase H&M revenue year over year in assigned accounts.
  • Research and pursue new prospective opportunities as assigned in order to develop new opportunities into successful customers to expand account base.
  • Maintain all opportunities and contacts for assigned accounts in Salesforce.com (SFDC).
  • Communicate corporate programs and news to customers.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure that internal/external customer’s expectations are met.
  • Assist Business Development with written proposal submittals as assigned.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Team Meetings, including monthly Sales Funnel review meeting

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a sales, business development or Account Manager role
  • Proficient in basic computer software applications -- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Action oriented self-starter
  • Knowledge of industry or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with and knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure
  • Customer service/customer relation skills
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical understanding of H&M service offerings
  • Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business.
  • Must have a high school diploma, Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation.

 

This position requires the ability to work in an office setting, as well as, on active construction sites. Candidates should only apply if they are capable of working in these conditions.
