The Project Scheduler will work to support the Project Manager by developing and maintaining schedules for a major EPC Telecom construction project in San Diego, CA. Additional responsibilities will include S-curve production tracking using Excel.

Major Job Elements

  • The Project Scheduler will work within the Project Management Office to support Project Managers, Estimators by developing and maintaining schedules for utility projects in the western US.

  • Projects include overhead and underground fiber optic backbone installations.

  • Additional responsibilities may include S-curve and Earned Value tracking, and promotion of Henkels & McCoy Project Management Methodology, reporting on future scheduled work.

  • This full-time, direct hire position will be based in San Diego area directly supporting a major EPC Telecom OSP project.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded schedules with Primavera P6.
  • Minimum 2 years of Construction industry experience and understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards, and ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Strong preference for experience in OSP construction and program planning.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Critical Path Methodology.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel.
  • Able to communicate cross-functionally with operations, corporate management and customer representatives and engineers.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple project assignments.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Takes initiative.
  • High integrity.
  • PSP, PMP, PMI-SP or other industry project management credential.
  • Intermediate technical writing skill.
  • Knowledge of Time Impact Analysis.
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
