The position reports to our Chantilly, VA office.

 

The Program Manager is responsible for the execution of simultaneous projects and activities from planning through execution and close out. The Program Manager will be responsible for Safety, project completion schedules and labor and material cost budgets. In addition, the Program Manager will manage and direct project managers, construction managers and administrative staff, both H&M and other organizations, in identifying and managing changes to the scope of work and documenting change orders as well as other aspects of the program. The Program Manager will work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. The Program Manager will support the Prime contractor and end user customer and also provide documentation, reports, and information to those parties as well as H&M executives. The project site is in the Columbia, MD vicinity and is a full time on sight position.

 

 

Major Job Elements

  • Completing estimates for new projects and reviewing estimates prepared by others
  • Preparing written cabling proposals
  • Experience working with a ticketing system/work flow software
  • Conduct client visits to provide technical input and operational support
  • Conduct job site visits on a daily basis
  • Perform QA inspections and safety audits (MSA's) in conjunction with job site visits
  • Develop written scopes of work (install package) and reviewing install packages prepared by subordinates
  • The ability to grow new opportunities into a successful account through established guidelines
  • Work with team members to develop their technical skills
  • Support and maintain technical training and qualifications of the staff.
  • Establish and maintain work orders in the Henkels & McCoy, Inc Work Order System
  • Ensure that the program is meeting established SLA’s and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Oversee and support invoicing as established within the program
  • Plan, organize, and track all structured cabling projects and IMACD’s maintaining schedules, deliverables, safety and quality metrics
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and immediately address any performance issues
  • Manage direct reports including project managers, site supervisors and support staff
  • Communicate corporate goals and directives
  • Establish proactive communications with other subcontractors working on the H&M team as well as those working on the Prime’s team.
  • Strong customer service skills to include strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with estimating projects and proposal presentations
  • Experience and skill to work successfully with employees of other organizations to meet customer expectations, program standards

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with lifestyle polygraph
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Must have 10 years of related experience with Program Management
  • College degree or industry related courses such as PM certification, BISCI certification, management courses
  • Working knowledge of reading RFP's, blueprints, specifications, and system documentation.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Access, Internet, P&L tracking reports, ability to estimate scheduling of material and man-hours
  • Experience writing Statement of Work and bids of IT infrastructure programs
  • Experience using leadership skills to manage and motivate project managers, site supervisors and field personnel
