The Project Manager, reporting to the Program Director, provides project leadership and support, management for a single large scale Telecommunications build and is accountable for the project's viability and financial health.

Additionally, the Project Manager provides support to other project teams in the planning and execution of the project including resolving issues, training, mentoring and coaching.

Major Job Elements

  • Manages and is responsible for overall project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction).
  • Serves as single-point of contact, establishing, nurturing and managing customer expectations regarding the project performance and building long term relationships for the Company.
  • Reports project status and performance data as required to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with the H&M Policies and Procedures
  • Plans, monitors, and controls the project throughout its lifecycle


  • 10+ years of relevant Project Management Experience
  • Field Experience / knowledge of operations, construction, design, finance and management
  • Knowledge and experience in Industry PM Methods
  • Thorough understanding of utility industry practices, operations, contract administration, contract management, processes, and standards, with emphasis on utility industry
  • Business Acumen; Creative problem solving and negotiation abilities
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) essential with management, project team, contractors, and customer, both written and oral
  • Experienced in Project Planning and CPM Scheduling
  • Team Building Skills; Encouraging and enabling people to work together as a team to accomplish the project goals.
  • Staff Development and Mentoring Skills; Ability to train others
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with the ability to work out of the San Dimas office the remaining portion of time
  • Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, credist history check and motor vehicle driving history check. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or formal Project Management foundation course work
  • Proficient in CPM scheduling with Primavera and MSProject preferred
