Overview:

H&M is celebrating 86 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction industry. H&M is currently seeking a Project Scheduler. Initially this position will be located out of our corporate headquarters located in Blue Bell, PA reporting through the Corporate PMO. The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing logically linked resource-loaded schedules. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Regional PMO Schedulers in all aspects of their job; from mentoring and coaching to the development and management of projects and programs from the initial proposal phase through close-out.



Major Job Elements:
  • Develop logically linked resource-loaded schedules from proposal documents, contract documents and estimate sheets. Attention to detail including critical path analysis, work flow analysis, resource leveling and status reporting will be required.
  • Support the Regional Schedulers in planning, coordinating, and managing all schedule and control activities on projects/programs assigned using Primavera Enterprise, version 5.0 and higher (P5/P6).
  • Interface with Regional PMOs and various internal and external stakeholders on planning and scheduling related items and functions including reporting requirements, progress reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate and report regional project/program performance to the Corporate PMO and executive team.
  • Represent Corporate PMO in meetings with project stakeholders as required regarding project performance related to schedule and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with the H&M Project Management Methodology (PMM) and associated scheduling and control standards.
  • Develop and implement scheduling guidelines.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed.
  • Support Henkels & McCoy scheduling requirements - as necessary. 

Travel Requirements:

  • Short-term travel - North American Assignments - Up to 50%.
  • Short-term relocation to support projects or programs - North American Assignments - three (3) months to 18 months.
  • Permanent relocation may be required.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum six (6) years proven experience in resource-loaded scheduling using Primavera's project management scheduling applications.
  • Minimum three (3) years proven experience with Primavera Enterprise (P5 or P6).
  • Preferred four (4) year BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Construction Experience Required - Understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in power industry PM methods, desirable.
  • Formal project management course work, desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential with interacting with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Training and support would be available to the right candidate to ensure a rapid transition to the position.
